Hope for Haiti fundraiser at Yesenia’s Dance Factory

The devastating earthquake that hit the nation of Haiti on January 12, 2010 has quickly mobilized support from all around the world, including the salsa dance community.
In New Jersey, Yesenia Peralta’s Dance Factory studio is organizing an event this Friday, January 29, in Union City. Yesenia has told us that 100% of the proceeds are going to the Yele Haiti Foundation. She’s invited artists including Sekou McMiller and Duplessey Walker to appear at the fund raising social.
For those in South California, Susannah Kloepfer with Salsalegra.com is cohosting a fund raising event on February 4 in Burbank, and there’s another event on Sunday, February 7 in Hollywood hosted by Yari More (representing the Latin music community with several bands).
Mike from SalsaTO.ca is hosting their “Dance and Donate” fundraiser on Monday, February 1st in Toronto.
