Constelacion Latina at the Festival Mundial de Salsa Cali 2009

In November of 2009, Albert Gomez of Toronto’s Strickly Salsa attended the Festival Mundial de Salsa Cali, Colombia’s largest salsa caleño competition. He put together a highlights video of the the top three places of the individual couples cabaret competition, all of which are members of the talented Constelacion Latina dance company. Fabrice Calmels from 30 Seconds of Dance also brought a film crew down to Cali to film this incredible team. He captured a fantastic street performance where the dancers are in street clothes, and are doing some flying tricks. Why aren’t the guys flying? Check the video below.

Some of these flying tricks remind me of acrobatic gymnastics.
